I am available for private piano lessons, and I accept students of any age or level, from beginner to professional. The only prerequisite is a passion for music. I taught children and adults privately in Steamboat Springs, CO for about 10 years. I accept beginning students, as well as advanced. I specialize in jazz and contemporary music, and in particular, the art of improvisation, using the piano/keyboard as the primary instrumental focus. I also teach jazz harmony, arranging and composition privately. I have taught privately in the SF Bay Areafor many years, as well as having taught classes and workshops in Piano Harmony, Extreme Listening and Vocalist/Accompanist classes at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, as well as other educational institutions. I have been on the faculty at Colorado Mountain College, Alpine campus, in Steamboat Springs, CO, where I taught a full complement of music courses. I have also been on the faculty of Jazz Camp West in La Honda, CA, and have taught at the Perry Mansfield School of Performing Arts in Steamboat Springs. One other thing: I love to teach!
